ABOUT
Tim Fleming’s practice covers a wide terrain as an artist and designer. In 2003 he founded the studio called Flatland OK which produces limited edition objects and furniture. The emphasis of this practice has been experimental, humorous and essentially critical of wasteful consumption.
Central to this practice has been a comic called Flatland Ok which illustrates satirical design concepts and the observations of two cactus plants called Rowbin and Tobin. Currently Fleming is focused on the development of a graphic novel called INTERCON.
INTERCON ELEVATOR PITCH
In a distant future, remnants of a great civilization lay scattered across planet Earth in the form of a superstructure called the Intercontinental Freeway (IF). The IF connected all the continents and many other human-formed land masses. Over the course of centuries, a new belief system evolved around IF called Intercon. Get on board this rollicking adventure with its cast of sight-seekers, high priests, nonillionaires, robotic birds, and food in tubes... lots of food in tubes.
